Ether is the element of the cosmos. It’s outer space, the quality of the world beyond our atmosphere reaching out into the infinite beyond.
Our bodies are composed mostly of space. Each cell in your body contains more space than it does physical matter. Atomic particles are spinning and dancing around in what to them feels like an entire universe of space and possibilities.
Ether elements represents the space in our lives – the space between thoughts, the space between emotions, the space between breaths.
The world we can see may seem solid and fixed, but consider all the space within each object. Consider the space within your body. Your body is an entire galaxy of possibilities. Feel into the inner space of your body and explore the
limitless potential available to you.
When we connect with the ether element in our lives it is through intentional awareness.
Try this:
Take a deep breath in. Fill your lungs to capacity in all directions. Once you are full, hold the breath at the top. Feel the space you’ve created. Rest in that space.
Now exhale slowly and fully. Once your lungs are empty, take another pause. Enjoy the emptiness, ready to refill again but satisfied in this momentary stillness of letting go.
The spaces at the top of the breath and the bottom of the breath are sacred moments where we can connect to the ether elements in our bodies. Space has been called “the final frontier.” It is pure potential.
How did you feel in those moments when you experienced those two different types of space in your body?. Our society values doing over being. To pause in our day or in our lives or even in the space of a single breath can feel uncomfortable and unfamiliar and this can result in fear. Sometimes bringing our awareness to the ether element in our bodies can be scary. The more you practice valuing the space in your body and in your life, the more you will learn to trust in the safety in those spaces. They are, after all, part of you.
Another way to experience your relationship with the Ether element is to explore the space between thoughts. Take a minute to sit quietly. Every time you have a thought or you find your mind thinking, whisper “thinking” to yourself. You can record yourself for this minute or two. Then, go back and count up all the times you heard yourself say that word. Sometimes, the word thinking is a near constant refrain. Our minds are so busy and racing, not allowing our brains to carry our attention with thought after thought can seem impossible.
When meditating, your mind doesn’t stop thinking, but the goal is to not be dragged along by your thoughts. You explore the space between thoughts and you experience being. You allow those spaces to stretch and stretch like space itself until you begin to enjoy these moments in a new way. You are in command of this new possibility of being and that is a very powerful place to be.
Ether element connects us to those powerful possibilities that exist both inside ourselves and all around us, reaching out into the cosmos and beyond, connecting us to all life and existence everywhere. Ether element extends beyond space and time. It is limitless and infinite and pure potential.

Ether element connects you to your unlimited landscape of your imagination and intuition. There are no boundaries or rules to hold you in those worlds you create with your creative mind. Make space in your schedule to daydream. It is as vital to our human experience as eating and breathing. There’s no telling the solutions you will discover there for problems or questions in your own life. The world needs dreamers and people not afraid to imagine a brighter world into being. You have the power. You’ve always had it. The time to value your dreams is now.
Allow yourself the time to explore these spaces between. Let the ether element help you find the relief in your life, in your daily schedule, in your heart and in your body. It’s already there, you just have to allow the time and space to experience it.
