Sight
Can you open your mind wide enough to see the whole picture?
The eyes help us to see. The mind helps us to understand what we are seeing. Our helps us to know if we are seeing things from the right point of view.
Sight can show us the world exactly as it is right now, but sometimes emotions can effect our perspective. Anger, for instance, can shift our vision. When we are angry we see things people are doing as intentional or spiteful. Anger makes our view very narrow.
If you are seeing red, it's time to listen to your anger. Let it tell you its message. Then, refocus. Step back. See the whole picture. The best way to rise above anger is perspective. Take an eagle's eye view on the situation.
You can also turn your sight around to see more of what is happening inside of you. Close your eyes and take a break from seeing out. Look in. You might like the change of scenery.
When you see the whole picture, by stretching your perspective, you can use your vision to become a peacemaker in the world. The solution for almost any problem is compassion. Compassion is seeing something from somebody else's viewpoint, but it is more than that. With compassion you can feel their hurt feelings and also want to help them to feel better. Compassion enables you to create solutions to problems that once only made you angry. Bridges of compassion help to break up anger.
If you don't like what you are seeing, change your perspective. See the world through somebody else's eyes. Shift your viewpoint to become a peacemaker in the world.
Find your courage. Build bridges of compassion and watch anger melt into joy and love.
See the whole picture.
